Our tour meets in Dandong at 8:00 am, the Chinese border city with North Korea, where a Lupine rep will answer any questions you have. You will join the daily bus into North Korea with a mixture of other tourists from both China and abroad. Please note a Lupine tour leader does not normally join this tour, unlike our longer group tours in to North Korea.

After clearing North Korean customs at the border, you will go to the main square of Sinuiju train station to see the large statues of Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il. Next you'll head to the Korean Revolution museum and Sinuiju Art musem before taking a break for an included lunch.

In the afternoon we'll make a visit to a local school to see a performance by the students and have a chance to grab some unique souvenirs before heading back across the bridge into China, arriving around 16:30.

We also have an option to extend the tour with an overnight stay in Sinuiju for an extra £70. If you stay overnight the bus will then take you to Donglin, a county near Sinuiju. You'll check-in to the Donglin Holiday hotel and have dinner there with a performance. In the morning you will climb Donglin mountain and then after an included lunch visit the Yalu River park right on the border before crossing back to China.
